In this class I have found many useful new creative strategies, yet they are still new to me. Ideation as explained on the site: https://strategyn.com/ideation/, was a particularly useful tool, yet I still have to find the right conditions for it's use. Tony Ulwick is noted with Outcome Driven Theory (ODI) on the site: https://strategyn.com/turn-customer-input-into-innovation/ . I have a tendency toward tapping into my creative side, in a way that is familiar to me. Meanwhile, I feel that I have just scratched the surface with these new techniques, and must admit that I'm a bit overwhelmed with finding all their applications in a short time frame. Wrong theory, as described on: https://canvas.instructure.com/courses/1228496/pages/module-5-ideation?module_item_id=14633185 was another great exercise that I will continue to develop in my approach to finding creative solutions.
What encouraged my most creative moments in this class, was being inspired to take on big projects. For many of the assignments it was not required to reach an ultimate goal in order to show success in the process. As a result I tried very challenging tasks, and made significant gains on them as well. On my blog #4 at: https://processandinspiration.weebly.com/blog-4, I recorded a song I wrote and was able to do quite a bit of editing on it as well. Overall this perspective of having many ways to find the right solution is what I find most valuable as a creator, as it does not dissuade me from ambitious ideas.
I plan to continue to practice creative strategies in my school work and for my effort as an employee. Being able to face a significant challenge without blinking has long been a quality I strive to embody. Now, I feel that I have more ways to reach that goal. With practice I see myself becoming a master problem solver.
